It’s a great thing to know when you’re a “collector” (read, compulsive book buyer read, book hoarder). Like I said before, there are countless ways to keep track of not only what you’re reading and what you’ve read, but just what you have. I don’t know what you’d post there, but hey, put up some inspirational quotes or random numbers. You can post in your Feed for other users to see. You can publish your library so that others can see it, and find friends who also use Libib. Once you’ve created your bookshelves and added all the information you’d like about them–reading status, tags of any sort, a review, and any other notes you want to add–you can utilize the social aspect. The process for cataloging is similar to Bookpedia in that you can either manually input an ISBN or ASIN in order to add a book or other form of media, or use a smartphone or webcamera to scan a barcode. Libib is a free personal cataloging tool that is stored completely online. Or do that thing where you automatically scan from your phone directly to your computer. ![]() After scanning a few books (not 400 like I did), check and make sure your sync actually works. So keep an eye on your books if you decide that Bookpedia is the way to go for your personal library cataloging. A recent check of the blog and forum indicate no update has been announced, so who knows if that magic bug was actually a thing or if I’m just a technological doofus. I will admit I got distracted by other things and didn’t push when I didn’t hear back about that. My scans weren’t actually being recorded so according to Pocketpedia, the only thing to sync were those eight books already on my laptop. I went onto the Bookpedia support forum where the admin informed me that I might have run into a rare special iPhone iOS 8 bug, which he was trying to replicate and fix through a Pocketpedia update. I synced the programs and whoosh! No more books. The several hundred books I scanned onto Pocketpedia never made it onto my laptop. Librarians come in all shapes, sizes, and ages, and yes, some do work directly with books, but so many also work with people and communities face-to-face or manage complicated collections and. This is where Bookpedia and I got into a little fight. Using your smartphone, you can scan the ISBN/ASIN barcodes of books, movies, CDs and video games to Pocketpedia and either send them immediately to the program on your computer over wifi, or store them on your phone to sync later. It has countless fields to make you really feel like a cataloger, down to where you bought it and even whether it’s signed. Software that provides hardware virtualization for intel based processors on MACs recently saw the release of Parallels 17, designed to allow M1-based MACs to run Windows-based software. STEP 1: Installing Parallels onto an M1 MacBook Pro Incredibly impressive compared to virtual machine (VM) setup back in 2016. The internet connection download speed was 631Mbps which allowed the total set up process to take just over 30 minutes which included research time. Below, you'll find a breakdown of getting Sage 50 CA version 2022 to work on an M1 MacBook Pro from late 2020 which was setup by installing Parallels version 17 to run Windows 11. Virtualization software mimics the hardware of a PC which enables MACs to run PC-based software like Sage 50. Over the next weeks, we'll review some of the most popular options for virtual Microsoft Windows Systems. Testers loved Parallels Desktop’s easy-to-use features and seamless integration of Windows with macOS Big Sur, which increased productivity. Its' been some time since our 2016 blog on how to get Sage 50 to work on a MAC. We received enthusiastic feedback about the remarkable performance of both the Technical Preview of Parallels Desktop 16 for M1 Mac and Windows 10 on ARM Insider Preview as well as x86 applications and games, including Rocket League, Among Us, Roblox, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Sam & Max Save the World and many others. ![]() Still, it’s a step forward, and Parallels says that in some cases the M1 version of Parallels program may run better than the Intel version. Anything already set up for that will run at “native speeds.” But if it’s an x86 (32 bit Intel or AMD style processor) program, Windows 10 ARM will employ emulation to run it. And when it comes to Windows 10 ARM, much like MacOS for M1 Macs, it can only natively run programs compiled for ARM. You’ll have to use a Windows 10 ARM edition, and that’s only available as a Windows Insider Preview right now-so expect some stability problems. That gets rid of half the “emulation on emulation” problem, and Parallels claims you can run some programs at “native speeds.” Notice that’s “some” programs, and there are a few other catches as well. Parallels now runs natively on an M1 Mac, no emulation required. And that’s why the latest update to Parallels is exciting. It’s a “better than nothing, but not as good as native speeds” solution. First, you used emulation to run Crossover then, it used emulation to run Windows 10 apps. If you wanted to run Windows 10 apps on an M1 Mac, you had to use emulation on emulation options like Crossover. Unfortunately, one feature you do lose with an M1 Mac is Bootcamp-you can’t partition the hard drive and install Windows. When a developer recompiles for ARM, it gives the program a speed boost on an M1 Mac, and in some cases, it may perform even better than it did on Intel, thanks to Apple’s careful designs. ![]() To be clear, a few programs meant for Intel processors can be run through emulation, but doing that typically leads to slow and frustrating performance. That’s getting better every day, and now Parallels works on M1 Macs, and can even run Windows 10. But they can’t run programs formatted for Intel processors until they’re recompiled for ARM. Apple’s M1 MacBooks have better battery life and performance improvement over their Intel siblings. ![]() As an authorized dealer for these designers, you can rely on our expertise to answer your questions about dress styles and sizing. From a single output, image data and transparency cannot be restored but from two outputs with different background colors it can. The key is to realize that the saved rendered output of Matlab is transparency times image data + (1 - transparency) times background color. However you can get the transparency by saving rendered data with two different background colors (white and black for example) and then loading both temporary images, solving a simple equation system and thereby retrieving the transparency and the original color data and then saving that all into a RGBA png file. For exporting rendered data with transparency you can still not save it with transparency. Upon returning the enemy team's flag to their own base (or the "flag return point"), a player scores a point for the team. Players pick up the flag automatically by walking into it, but can no longer drop it once a player has taken the flag, they are stuck with it until they score it or are killed. In Halo 4, rather than being wielded with both hands, players now carry the flag with their left hand and wield an M6H magnum in their right, regardless of whichever weapons they are carrying. In games other than Halo: Combat Evolved and Halo Infinite, the flag melee can kill a fully-shielded enemy player with one hit, though the setting can be tweaked in custom game settings. Respawn timers are commonly longer in CTF than in Slayer, giving more time for players in the offense to capture the flag. The countdown can be reset by enemy players holding the flag again, even if briefly. At the end of the countdown, the flag returns to the base, and the process could be accelerated by friendly players standing around it.
